BPD arrests 13-year-old driver of stolen red Mustang and two other juveniles flee
Beaumont — A Beaumont police officer captured a 13-year-old driver who ran away after fleeing with two other juveniles in a stolen red Ford Mustang. Shortly before 4 a.m. on Sunday, May 28, a BPD officer was patrolling in the area of Highway 105 and Major when he spotted a stolen red Mustang. The officer attempted to conduct a traffic stop, but the suspect sped away to the area of 6090 North Major Drive.
Suspect arrested on charges linked to shooting that injured two outside housing complex
Beaumont — Beaumont police have arrested a suspect on charges linked to a shooting that injured two people outside of a housing complex. Officers were patrolling in the 4000 block of Brandon shortly before 6 p.m. Friday when they saw Ricki Slone, 20, of Beaumont, wanted on two outstanding warrants for Aggravated Robbery, $500,000 bond, and Deadly Conduct, $250,000 bond. Police expect to make additional arrests.

Violence continues in Beaumont – two shot and one beaten
Violence continues to spiral out of control in Beaumont. On Monday afternoon, two people were shot and one was beaten in two separate incidents. Police say the shooting occurred on Helbig Road in the north end of that city where several people were shooting at each other. Two sustained non-life threatening gunshot wounds and are hospitalized.
Suspect of Game X Change robbery arrested, charged
BEAUMONT, Texas — Beaumont Police Department detectives have arrested one of the suspects accused of robbing a Beaumont business in April. 20-year-old Beaumont man Daniel Leatherwood was arrested on May 25 on an unrelated charge. He was later taken into custody for the robbery after speaking with detectives, according to a BPD press release.

Detectives arrest woman, 2 men at Beaumont home in drug trafficking investigation
BEAUMONT, Texas — A woman and two men were arrested and charged after police say they were trafficking narcotics out of a Beaumont home. Scrapyard owner calls attention to metal thieves
BEAUMONT — Metal theft is a growing issue in Southeast Texas, with regular arrests local businesses are doing their part in preventing these incidents. Port Neches Police arrested Eddie Lee Dunwoody Jr. of Vidor on charges of theft of aluminum, bronze, copper and brass, following a report of suspicious activity near Williamsburg Lane.
