Dr. Schaefer named 2024 LCM Outstanding Physician
Leroy Schaefer, M.D. has been named the 2024 Little Company of Mary (LCM) Outstanding Physician Award recipient at Memorial Hospital and Health Care Center. This award is named in honor of the Little Company of Mary Sisters—USA, the founders of Memorial Hospital. The LCM Award is given annually to a physician on Memorial Hospital’s active medical staff who has been nominated through a hospital—and community-wide nomination process. The winner is chosen by a selection committee from a group of finalists.
St. Croix Man Indicted on Firearm Charges
Ambrose Daniel, 44, of St. Croix, made his initial appearance before U.S. Magistrate Judge Emile A. Henderson III after a federal grand jury returned an indictment charging Daniel with felon in possession of a firearm and ammunition and unlawful possession of a machinegun, United States Attorney Delia L. Smith announced Thursday.
