TARRANT COUNTY (1080 KRLD)- Deputies in Tarrant County say they arrested a man who tried to kidnap a girl from her home Monday evening.

When deputies got to the home on Lansman Drive around 6:20 the girl's parents told them they were able to get her away from the suspect before he was able to drive off with her.

The girl's mother gave deputies the make, model and tag of the suspect's car.
Deputies tracked down the suspect's address in Crowley, found him and tried to pull him over.

That's when 62-year-old Steven Bayse gave chase. He stopped several times and acted like he was going to surrender, and kept driving.

At one point deputies say he struck three patrol cars and almost struck a deputy.
The Sheriff's Department says Bayse eventually pulled into the parking lot of a grocery store and was taken into custody. He’s being held in the Tarrant County Jail on charges of Kidnapping, Evading Arrest or Detention with a Vehicle and Aggravated Assault Against a Public Servant.

His bond has been set at $125,000.
