The 'Miracle March' of 2024 just delivered a fantastic storm to our friends in New Mexico. Taos Ski Valley, the state's largest ski resort, is reporting 25 inches of new snow in the last 72 hours.

Check out the video below of the snow stake filling with at least 20 inches overnight into the morning of March 25, 2024. Tap to play.

Now isn't that a sight for sore eyes? There's nothing quite as satisfying as a time lapse video of a snow stake getting buried. Well, not in my book, at least.

Taos is nearing their projected closing day of April 7th, 2024, but the mountain certainly isn't skiing like it. They're reporting a base depth of 77 inches with more snow expected throughout the day.

The snow is soft and deep this morning, but even the most recent storm total leaves Taos well-below average in terms of total snowfall. The resort has recorded 183 inches of snow to date, more than 100 inches below their average of 300 inches.
