Cops looking for man in Tangi stabbing

Police are looking for help finding the man they say stabbed somebody Sunday morning in the Bedico area.

"The Tangipahoa Parish Sheriffs Office is asking the public’s assistance in locating 41 year old Michael King of Ponchatoula in connection with a stabbing," Chief Jimmy Travis said in a news release.

He said detectives are investigating the stabbing which occurred on CC Road.

"Through the course of the investigation detectives learned King stabbed another male during an altercation and fled the scene prior to deputies arriving on scene. King is currently wanted for Aggravated Second Degree Battery in connection with this incident."

Travis did not say the condition of the victim or what sparked the altercation.
