Tampa celebrates St. Patrick’s Day with River O’ Green festival

Thousands of spectators lined the Hillsborough River as Tampa celebrated St. Patrick’s Day by dyeing the river green.

Bad weather that is expected on Saturday forced the City of Tampa to move up its annual St. Patrick’s Day celebration to Friday afternoon. Spectators lined the Hillsborough River at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park, the University of Tampa and Julian B. Lane Riverfront Park to watch as the river was dyed green.
