2-year-old girl dies in Summit County
SUMMIT COUNTY, Ohio (WOIO) - Tallmadge police are investigating the death of a two-year-old girl.
Tallmadge Police Chief Ron Williams said officers were called to the child’s home in he 300 block of South Ave. around 2:30 p.m. Sunday.
According to Chief Williams, the child’s father took her to an urgent care and she was then transported by Tallmadge EMS to Akron Children’s Hospital where she was pronounced dead.
The Summit County Medical Examiner identified the victim as Nahlah Barber.
According to the Summit County Medical Examiner, an autopsy was completed Monday and the cause and manner of death are pending at this time to allow additional studies and investigation to be performed.
The medical examiner added “at this time, there is very little concern for foul play contributing to the toddler’s death.”
