INITIAL REPORT Tallahassee police say one person is dead after an attempted officer ambush Thursday night at Tom Brown Park. TPD says it happened about 10:30 p.m. after officers received a tip that a person matching the description of someone who ran from a drug investigation was seen at the park. TPD says when officers and a Leon County Deputy arrived to assist, an armed woman starting firing shots at them. That's when officers fired shots back hitting the woman. That person was taken to the hospital where they later died.
