Takoma Park Police Investigating Armed Carjacking at Sunoco Station

Takoma Park Police are investigating an armed carjacking at a Sunoco station in the 6300 block of New Hampshire Avenue that happened Thursday at 4:21 a.m.

According to police, two suspects exited their vehicle at the station, and one appeared to have a black handgun. The suspects demanded property, and the victim complied.

The suspects then got into the victim’s vehicle and fled toward Washington, D.C. A third suspect fled in the car that they had come to the station in.

The victim, who was in a 2015 black Toyota Rav4, was not injured.

One suspect was described as a Black male wearing a ski mask and was armed.

The incident occurred in Ward 3.
