Beggs Slowpitch receives OSSAA honor
The 2024 Beggs Lady Demons slowpitch softball team has been awarded the Distinguished Academic Achievement Award by the OSSAA. The Lady Demons had a 3.50 GPA and a non-weighted GPA of 3.875. Last year, they finished with the Academic Achievement Certificate, but this year, finished with a Distinguished Achievement Award. Congratulations to the team:
Teen In Custody, Accused Of Firing Gun Near Rooster Days Festival In Broken Arrow
A teenager is in custody after firing a gun near the Rooster Days Festival on Thursday night, according to Broken Arrow Police. Police said this all started with a group of teenagers who were at Rooster Days, and then made their way over to the Carlisle Apartments, which is a street over to the east.
Man Killed In Coweta House Fire
A Coweta house fire left a man dead on Friday, authorities say. Coweta firefighters said it happened in a neighborhood off South 297th Avenue. The man's identity has not been released. News On 6 has a crew heading to the scene. Stay tuned for updates.
