Pine Plains Central School District Voters Approve 2024–25 Budget
Residents of the Pine Plains Central School District passed the Board of Education’s $37.6-million 2024–25 budget on May 21 by a vote of 285 to 106. Of the estimated 6,713 eligible voters, 6% turned out, approving all propositions, including the purchase of three school buses for a total of $461,970 – and the three BOE candidates, who ran unopposed. Lee officials make second request to three Rest of River towns, seeking approval to access privileged documents
Lee — The Select Board voted unanimously on May 21 to execute a letter to the select boards of Great Barrington, Lenox, and Stockbridge, requesting a decision on a resolution that would release unredacted attorney-client-privileged documents from executive sessions belonging to the now-defunct Housatonic River Rest of River Municipal Committee, documents that could show how Lee was selected as the site for a Superfund landfill.
