Domestic incident in Mathews County leaves 2 dead
MATHEWS COUNTY, Va. — A domestic incident in Mathews County left two people dead, according to the Mathews County Sheriff’s Office. The incident happened Friday at about 10 a.m., according to a Facebook post from the sheriff’s office. Deputies were dispatched to the 100 block of Twiggs Ferry Road due to a report of a man down on the ground.
Arrest made after woman is assaulted and shot in Hampton
HAMPTON, Va. — A Hampton man has been arrested in connection with a maiming that occurred on Friday afternoon. According to the Hampton Police Division, around 1:44 p.m. on Oct. 11, a call about a shooting in the 100 block of Saunders Road was received. When officers arrived at the scene, they found a woman who had been shot; members of the Hampton Division of Fire and Rescue transported her to a local hospital for treatment.
