A shooting investigation is underway at the intersection of Trinidad and Queen Streets in Northeast Washington, D.C., following an incident that left one man dead and two others injured. According to the Metropolitan Police Department, the shooting occurred early on Saturday. Officers responded to the scene in the rear of the 1600 block on Trinidad Avenue, Northeast, where three adults were found with gunshot wounds. One victim, identified as 33-year-old Najee Dickens of Northeast D.C., later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

WASHINGTON, D.C., USA — Around 5:30 Sunday morning, DC Fire and EMS say they were called to a house fire near 23rd Street and Southern Avenue, Southeast. They say they discovered a 64-year-old man and 34-year-old woman dead on the second floor of a townhome. They also say they had to rescue an 85-year-old woman with a ladder from the second floor. She was taken to the hospital in life-threatening condition.
