TOLLESON, Ariz. — It's been over a month since a 13-year-old boy went missing from a car wash in Tolleson. Elijah Gumbus was last seen around 7 a.m. on Aug. 31. Surveillance footage from the Weiss Guys Car Wash at 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road shows Elijah wearing a red shirt getting out of his mom's car then jogging west.
Passenger With Checked Bag Full of Meth Was Not Arrested Because His Plane Had Already Taken Off
Police in Arizona were unable to arrest a Utah-bound traveler found carrying pounds of methamphetamine inside his checked luggage because his plane has already departed. During routine screening of baggage at Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport, TSA agents contacted Airport Bureau Officers to verify a suspicious item believed to be illegal drugs. Testing revealed the seized item to be two pounds of meth, FOX 10 Phoenix reported.

PHOENIX — A man was found dead in a West Valley home, Phoenix police said. Phoenix police responded to a home in west Phoenix for a report of a shooting early Tuesday morning. When officers were responding, a dispatch informed them the 911 caller reported a person was shot inside the home.

TEMPE, Ariz. — More than 60 protesters have been charged with criminal trespassing, Maricopa County Attorney Rachel Mitchell announced Wednesday. The charges stem from an incident in April on ASU's Tempe campus. During the incident, a group of protesters reportedly defied police orders to leave the campus. In all, charges were filed against 68 people.
