In the heart of Old Town San Diego, California, stands the Whaley House. Known for its chilling past and paranormal encounters, this Victorian mansion has seen everything from grisly executions to family deaths and has earned a reputation as a supernatural hotspot. It's no wonder that the Whaley House is frequently cited as one of the most haunted places in America. The best part? You can pay a visit.

SAN DIEGO — An aborted takeoff at San Diego International Airport last week is raising concerns about public safety. A Southwest Airlines flight was cleared to cross the runway at the same time a different Southwest jet was cleared for takeoff. It happened on October 11 around 8:40 a.m.

Restaurateur Javier Cuadra, born in Michoacán, Mexico, drew inspiration from his homeland’s rich culture and street food to open his own restaurant. While studying international business, Javier worked in the restaurant industry, which fueled his dream of showcasing Mexico’s unique cuisine in Orange County, where he noticed a lack of authentic Mexican street food.

It was a very early morning drive to work. “I was going normal speed, about 65 to 75 mph,” San Diego resident Mike Spragley said. “It was extremely foggy, low visibility that morning, and there was a Target shopping cart in between the No. 1 and 2 lanes, which is the fast lane and the one next to it.”

In March, the Batavia, Illinois-headquartered company announced an ambitious plan to open 800 new US stores by the end of 2028. Two of these new markets are coming to Southern California.
