Harrison County fell victim to Mason County and their airtight defense on Friday. They took a blow against the Mason County Royals, falling 35-0. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Thorobreds of the 40-13 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in October of 2023.

The Mowrystown FFA chapter achieved remarkable success at the Highland County Fair this year, showing the dedication and skill of its members. Three individuals — Darby Yeager, Addison Roberts and Sydney Shelton — were recognized for their abilities in their respective departments. Each member received awards for overall showmanship, which granted them the opportunity to participate in the Showman of Showmen competition. Addison Roberts was third place overall in this competition, showing her talent and hard work.

On Saturday at Ripley High School, the Whiteoak Wildcats cross-country runners competed at the Southern Hills Athletic Conference Championships. The first race of the day was the varsity boys and Landen Eyre displayed his dominance with his fourth straight league championship by cruising to a one-minute and 26 second victory.
