An Indiana man was charged in connection with simple assault and harassment for an incident late Sunday night. Indiana Borough Police say they were dispatched to a location in the 100 block of Wayne Avenue for a reported domestic incident in progress. 22-year-old Symere Cunningham-Jackson was allegedly involved in a physical altercation with an identified woman. Charges were filed through district judge Christopher Welch’s office. Cunningham-Jackson was taken to Indiana County Jail after his arraignment as he was unable to post $500 bail. A preliminary hearing is set for October 24th.

On September 24, 2024, at 12:23 p.m., State Police from the Indiana Patrol Unit investigated a death at a residence along Iselin Road in Young Township, Indiana County. The deceased, identified as a 71-year-old Saltsburg man, was determined to have died of natural causes.
