This heartwarming story feels like a scene from a movie where characters discover something precious. But sometimes, life imitates art, as demonstrated by this incident in Charlotte, North Carolina. According to Queen City News, Julia Stultz and her family's routine grocery trip to a local Walmart took an unexpected turn.

Some of these restaurant and retail owners are unable to reach their employees in Western North Carolina — they don’t even know if they are safe.

The Mecklenburg County Health Department inspected these restaurants from Sept. 26 to Oct. 2:. • Biryani Nation, 14027 Conlan Circle, Charlotte – 81.5. Violations include: Certified food protection manager wasn’t available; food handler prepping raw vegetables touched face and bare arms without washing hands before returning to prep; dishes had food debris and stickiness; food needed date marking; sauce on burner was not reheated properly; and cooked chicken, raw beef and sauce were not held cold enough.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. — Today’s workout features an Eight Minute Dumbbell Arms Upper Body workout. We are joined by motivational Fitness Coach Meghan Trainor and she will walk us through some great dumbbell exercises. “Dumbbells don’t have to be expensive and it’s recommended that you own a light pair to aid you in your workouts” says Trainor. She add “dumbbells adds just enough resistance to work the individual muscle groups and is a necessary tool.” Today’s workout is going to focus primarily on the arms and upper body. These exercises are design to go 45 seconds with 15 second rest in between. Each body part will have two exercises associated with them.

At the request of Brother Wolf Animal Rescue (BWAR), the ASPCA® (The American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals®) and the Humane Society of Charlotte (HSC) assisted with the emergency transport of 44 homeless dogs and cats from BWAR after the shelter was devastated by severe flooding due to Hurricane Helene. During Hurricane Helene’s destructive landfall on Sept. 26, the animals were housed with temporary foster homes in the Asheville area. After the storm, emergency foster caregivers brought the animals to the ASPCA Spay/Neuter Alliance (ASNA) for temporary sheltering before they were transported to HSC in Charlotte, N.C., on Oct. 2. The 14 dogs and 30 cats – all of whom are unowned – are receiving medical and behavioral care until they are made available for adoption in the coming weeks. Additional animals from BWAR will be transported later this week to MSPCA-Angell in Boston, Mass.
