One person was killed early Monday after a road rage shooting that shut down traffic on one of Salt Lake City's busiest roadways during the morning commute.

SALT LAKE CITY, Utah, Oct. 7, 2024 (Gephardt Daily) — Police have identified the victim of a fatal shooting Sunday in downtown Salt Lake City as 30-year-old Gage Barrow. The man arrested Sunday after Salt Lake City police say witnesses followed him from the scene is Farshad Baesmat Hassan-Pouri, 49. He was arrested for investigation of murder and felony discharge of a firearm with serious bodily injury, both listed as potential first-degree felonies.

"Detectives are diligently following [a] myriad [of] leads," Young told NewsNation affiliate KTVX.
