LYCOMING COUNTY, Pa. — Crews responded to a fatal crash near the Montgomery Pike Scenic Overlook just after 5 p.m. Wednesday in Lycoming County. According to officials, an SUV left the roadway along Route 15, broke through a fence at the overlook, and fell down the mountain. The car hit a tree and later caught fire.

Donald J. Jordan IV, 18, of Galeton, escaped injury in a one-vehicle crash on Germania Road, West Branch Township Sept. 27. Jordan was traveling north in a 2011 Mazda 3 when he failed to negotiate a right turn onto Button Hollow Road due to driving too fast and lost control of the car. He then hit a tree at the intersection of Route 144 and Button Hollow Road, causing the car to become disabled. He was wearing a seat belt and was not injured. He was issued a warning about speeding.
