Twin Loup hosted South Loup and Sandhills Valley for a volleyball triangular in Sargent on Thursday. Each team went 1-1 on the evening. Twin Loup collected its fifth win of the season winning over Sandhills Valley in straight sets 25-19, 25-18. In match #2, Sandhills Valley came back from a set down to defeat South Loup 2-1 (18-25, 25-16, 25-21) for their second win of the season. In the final match, South Loup collected its first win of the year knocking off Twin Loup in straight sets 25-22, 25-14.

Nebraska’s National Weather Service (NWS) has issued a frost alert for areas including Valley, Greeley, Sherman, and Dawson counties, where temperatures may dip below 38°F overnight. Gardeners and farmers are advised to take precautions, as the region is expected to experience patchy frost early Friday morning. It’s another big high school football Friday around the area today as teams navigate through the second half of the regular season schedule. The Twin Loup Wolves are on the road tonight to face Central Valley in Wolbach. After starting the season 0-3, the Wolves have rebounded to win their last two games against Chambers Wheeler Central and Palmer in back to back weeks. Twin Loup head coach Mike Kozeal visited with KCNI/KBBN sports this week and talked about the progression of some of the younger players and growing in their understanding of the game.
