There has been a number of fantastic Yeezy releases since 2009, with models being coveted for their weird “alien-like” or “futuristic” designs and unique colourways. With designs ranging from classic to avant-garde and features like Adidas‘ Boost technology for maximum comfort, Yeezys have become a symbol of popular culture and fashion.

The New Jersey-based sneaker retailer Packer gets its own two-pack of adidas FYW Intimidation. Many may look to Nike or Jordan Brand today for top-of-the-line performance basketball silhouette, however, adidas had its heyday with its FYW (Feet Your Wear) series from the 90s. Designed to follow the natural curves and shape of the human foot, plenty of FYW models hit the market with the adidas FYW Intimidation partially responsible for the Yeezy 500s sole unit. While the model did see a slight revival in 2020 to not much fanfare, the silhouette seems to be coming back once again with the help of New Jersey-based retailer Packer.

The decision was viewed as “long-overdue” by some given how unabashed and offensive the former “Kanye West” had been about the Three Stripes, people in the footwear industry, politics, and Jewish people in the months leading up to October. As end-of-year financial reports surfaced, however, the loss of Ye as a partner was put into perspective.

Has certainly been feeling the blow on the sales front without its partnership with Ye and has been leaning on the introductions of new silhouettes and collaborations with other music roster members like Bad Bunny and Pharrell to keep them afloat. There’s still no word on if and when the brand will continue to drop YEEZY-designed products in the foreseeable future, but in the meantime, samples like this adidas YEEZY 500 have been continuing to pop up on occasion.
