SYRACUSE, N.Y. (WHCU) — A teenage girl in Syracuse is recovering after a stabbing.
Police say the attack happened Saturday afternoon on South Geddes Street. The 14-year-old was reportedly stabbed in her arm, and needed stitches. The injuries are not considered to be life-threatening. Authorities say a 13-year-old girl was later arrested as a suspect.
Elsewhere in the city, a shooting is under investigation. Authorities say it happened early Sunday morning outside the Parkside Commons apartment building. A 17-year-old boy was reportedly shot in the arm. He was taken to a hospital, and is expected to survive.
