Meikhi Cuttino Excited to Visit Syracuse

The class of 2024 defensive back is in constant communication with the Orange.

Class of 2024 Paramus (NJ) Catholic defensive back Meikhi Cuttino is keeping busy this spring, visiting several schools that are in pursuit. He has already checked out Boston College, Michigan State and Akron this month with another one coming up this week. Cuttino will be on the Syracuse campus on Thursday, March 30th.

"Can't wait," Cuttino said.

The 6-3, 200 pound safety prospect was offered by the Orange in early February by assistant Nunzio Campanile.

"The offer was over the phone with coach Nunz," Cuttino said. "The phone call was great and I learned a lot about Cuse just from that one phone call. It went down very smooth. Coach Nunz expressed how the staff felt about me as well as himself. He said he wanted to offer me a scholarship. I was very appreciative and excited."

Cuttino said Syracuse is recruiting him as a strong safety/linebacker hybrid that would fit in extremely well in the 3-3-5 scheme. When he visits later this week, he knows exactly what he will be looking to see in order to determine if Syracuse is the right fit.

"The campus atmosphere, the culture of the school and the football team," Cuttino said. "The freshmen dorms, the education side of it (as well)."

In addition, Cuttino says he has been developing his relationship with Campanile and the two speak very often, at least once per week. The upcoming visit will be a chance to further enhance that bond.
