Water main leak repaired in Caldwell, but drivers advised of road closure
CALDWELL — The city of Caldwell Water Department on Tuesday completed emergency repairs related to a water main leak on Lake Avenue between East Ustick Avenue and East Homedale Road, according to an update posted on the city’s social media. Lake Avenue is now open, but East Ustick Road between South Florida and Lake Avenue will remain closed until Friday to allow Das-Co of Idaho to relocate a gas line for Intermountain Gas Company. Flaggers will be on-site to direct traffic and help maintain safety throughout the work, a city news release said. Motorists should expect increased traffic congestion and delays in the area. Drivers are encouraged to allow extra time for their commute, use alternate routes when possible, and exercise caution when traveling through the work zone. “The City of Caldwell appreciates the public’s patience and cooperation while this necessary emergency repair work is completed,” the release said.
