Rich McCormick's estranged wife, Debra Miller, works as an oncologist.

She is his second wife, according to the Daily Mail.

Per a March 30, 2016 post from the Dancing Stars of Onslow County Facebook account, she is a board-certified Medical Oncologist who at the time worked at Southeastern Medical Oncology, having moved in 2013 after working in Atlanta for 16 years.

According to the post, Debra studied at Bowman Gray School of Medicine at Wake Forest before completing her residency and fellowship at Vanderbilt University.

According to the New York Post, Gwinnett County, Georgia court records show that Rich filed for divorce on May 3, 2024, after 12 years of marriage.

"A mutual restraining order was also filed, as is standard in all divorce cases in the central Georgia county," the outlet continues.

He is also a member of the Select Subcommittee on the Coronavirus Pandemic.

Rich is a "decorated" veteran and Emergency Room physician who earned a degree from Oregon State University and served as a helicopter pilot in the Marine Corps.

He deployed to combat zones in Africa, the Persian Gulf, and Afghanistan throughout his 20 years of military service, per his website.

"As a Marine, he flew helicopters, was Airborne and attached to Army and foreign forces, and taught at Georgia Tech and Morehouse College as the Marine Officer Instructor," his website continues.

"In the Navy, Rich earned the rank of Commander and served as Department Head for the Emergency Medicine Department in Kandahar, Afghanistan."

He received a Master of Business Administration degree from National University and a medical degree from Morehouse School of Medicine in Atlanta between military deployments.

Rich "completed residency in Emergency Medicine through Emory while training at Grady Hospital in Atlanta" and served as an Emergency Room physician at Northside Hospital.
