The inaugural Sutherlin Throwdown will be held on Saturday, July 15 through Sunday the 16th in Sutherlin Central Park, organizers said in a news release.
This event will feature a BBQ competition sanctioned by the Pacific Northwest BBQ Association with up to 40 teams competing for $10,000 in prize money.
The Cornhole Competition will happen concurrently, sponsored by Southern Oregon Cornhole, with a $5,000 purse.
The third component is a Brew Fest with regional craft breweries "offering the best of brews as a perfect pairing to the BBQ," organizers said.
The weekend festivities will culminate with a concert from country music artist Jesse Leigh.
Proceeds will benefit the 'Youth in Trades' scholarship program.

"Spaces for BBQ teams and breweries are filling up quickly," organizers said. "Cornhole teams should register early to ensure your spot in the competition."
