OCRS Staff | Bristow, OK (May 25, 2024) - The excitement was high as thirty-one drivers signed in for the first night of Sprint Fest at Lake Ozark Speedway. A outstanding lineup of cars and drivers took to the track for the heat races, with victories claimed by Brad Best, John Barnard, Joe Bob Lee, and Terry Easum. Randy Martin triumphed in the semi-feature, setting the stage for a thrilling main event.

It has now been five years since the 2019 EF3 tornado did damage to both Miller and Cole County, affecting many cities and its path, including Eldon, and Jefferson City. All of the mid-Missouri community that was here during the night of May 22nd, 2019 have their own version of memories centered around the powerful twister that had max wind speeds of 160 mph and moved from Eldon to Jefferson City along Highway 54.

Shortleaf Brewing is a brewpub in O’Fallon dedicated to eco-friendly beer, spirits and an inviting atmosphere. There is also a sister location in Camdenton. Founded in 2019 by brothers Michael and Jonathan Crowell, Shortleaf Brewing’s O’Fallon location offers more than 24 beers on tap, 105 whiskeys and bourbons, and a mostly made-from-scratch food menu. The Camdenton location, owned by Matthew Crowell and Robert Hoffman, has 19 beers on tap.

(KBSI) – West Nile Virus could be a major issue this summer, according to the Illinois Department of Health. The first two batches of mosquitoes to test positive in 2024 for West Nile virus in Illinois were in in Hoffman Estates in Cook County and one in Morgan County, according to the Illinois Department of Health.
