Friday, June 2

„ Hayley Nichole Dial, 35, of Sulphur Springs was arrested at 8:15 p.m. Friday on Bill Bradford Road for possession of less than 1 gram of a Penalty Group 1/1-B controlled substance. Christopher Roydon Dial, 54, of Sulphur Springs was arrested on a Grayson County warrant for failure to appear on an assault causing bodily injury charge. They were in a vehicle stopped for a traffic violation. A search of the vehicle yielded 0.47 grams of a substance that tested positive for methamphetamine.

„ Deputies stopped Rogelio Lopez-Sanabria at 9:11 p.m. Friday for traffic violations. A records check showed no driver’s license for Lopez. The 62-year-old Pickton man was arrested on a no driver’s license charge, according to arrest reports.

„ Police stopped Erick Roberto Olivares at mile marker 111 on Interstate 30 for a defective headlight. The 37-year-old Sulphur Springs man was allowed to drive to his Sulphur Springs residence to drop his wife and children off, then was arrested and taken to jail at 9:43 p.m. on warrants for failure to maintain financial responsibility and no driver’s license.

Saturday, June 3

„ Stanley Paul Wood was arrested at 3:13 a.m. June 3 on Wildcat Way on possession of 4 grams or more but less than 200 grams of a Penalty Group 1 controlled substance and expired driver’s license warrant. A records check during a traffic stop revealed the warrant. He had over 11 grams of suspected meth.

„ Kerry Renaldore Duffey Jr., who is also known by the alias Keno, was arrested at 6:41 p.m. June 3 on Martin Luther King Drive at Oak Avenue. He walked up to a police officer’s patrol vehicle to speak to him. He told the officer he’d left Teen Challenger and was headed to his father’s residence. A records check by dispatchers showed the 31-year-old Mount Pleasant man to be wanted for violation of parole.

„ Theresa Gale Garcia was stopped for a defective headlight. A records check showed an outstanding warrant. The 48-year-old Sulphur Springs woman was arrested at 9:47 p.m. Saturday on Wildcat Way on misdemeanor warrants for leaving the scene of an accident, open container- and unsafe speed/too fast for conditions. Fees owed on the charges totaled $1,281.80, according to arrest reports.

„ Police responded to a report of a suspicious person on Church Street at 3:47 a.m. Saturday. An officer contacted John Andrew Rushin in a vehicle in the area. The officer reported seeing drug paraphernalia. A search yielded a bag with a prescription pill bottle with no label on it. Using drugs.com, police identified pills found within it as nabumetone, chlorzoxazone, cyclobenzaprine hydrochloride and trazodone hydrochloride, Sulphur Springs Police Officer Thad Cook alleged in arrest reports. The 39-year-old Sulphur Springs man was arrested on a possession of dangerous drug charge.

Sunday, June 4

„ Police stopped Scott Allenn Jacobs at 7:29 a.m. June 4 for speeding on Wildcat Way. The driver displayed nervous indicators. When asked if he had anything illegal, he admitted to having methamphetamine in the console, according to arrest reports. The 34-year-old Point man was arrested on a possession of a controlled substance charge.

„ Sheriff’s deputies responded at 7:46 p.m. on Westgate in Como, where a man in a black vehicle was reported to be on the premises, taking items he didn’t have permission to take. Upon arrival, the man admitted he neither had permission to be there nor to remove items from it. He claimed to be gathering items to start a fire. His behavior, deputies noted in arrest reports, was indicative of a person under the influence of narcotics. A police canine alerted on the SUV during a sniff search. Small used marijuana cigarettes and a small amount of marijuana were found in the vehicle. Heston Oneal Perry was transported to jail for possession of drug paraphernalia and refused to answer further book-in questions, according to arrest reports.

„ Police stopped Tommy Dell Jolly Jr. at 10:13 p.m. on East Industrial Drive for not wearing a seatbelt. A records check showed warrants for his arrest. He was jailed at 10:44 p.m. on the outstanding Class C misdemeanor charges of expired registration and displaying of a fictitious, altered or obscured license plate. Fees owed on the charge totaled $493.50.

Monday, June 5

„ Hopkins County Sheriff ’s Office dispatchers answered 162 non-emergency calls and 52 emergency calls. Deputies responded to 48 calls for service, made seven traffic stops and filed two offense reports. Six people were booked into and three were released from the county jail, which held 194 inmates at 5:30 a.m. Monday.

Tuesday, June 6

„ Communications operators answered 219 non-emergency phone calls and 49 emergency calls. Deputies responded to 61 calls for service, provided one inmate transport, made 24 traffic stops and filed one offense report. Three people were booked into and 10 were released from Hopkins County jail, which held 185 inmates at 5 a.m. Tuesday.
