Sulphur resident grateful for help, optimistic of town's future following devastating EF3 tornado
SULPHUR, Okla. — Two weeks after a deadly EF3 tornado, the small town of Sulphur is slowly picking up the pieces, with the road to recovery just beginning for its residents. "Absolute dismay. How much damage and how much history was lost in the blink of an eye," Sulphur resident Jason Pontious said.
Isolated severe storms possible this afternoon
Big supercells in north Texas will try to spread into southern Oklahoma Thursday afternoon and early evening. As they move across the Red River, they will tend to weaken. A Severe Thunderstorm Watch is out for southern Oklahoma until 7PM. This includes Sulphur and Marietta, areas hit hard by tornadoes this year already.
Madill shot stopper signs with Murray State College
MADILL, Oklahoma (KTEN)- Madill shot stopper Miguel Fajardo made it official on Tuesday that he will be heading up Highway 377 to Tishomingo to play soccer at Murray State College in the fall.
