This has been a very, very hard year for the students, staff and faculty at the Charles M. Sumner School in Sullivan! What should have been an amazing year with the brand new school has proven to be one challenge after another, starting with the delay of the school year and remote learning.

The school has still not been turned over to the District from the general contractor, and graduation and 8th-grade promotion will have to be modified in some way, as the gym/auditorium will not be ready.

It would have been really easy to throw your hands up in the air and give up on the year. Rather, if you read the update from Jackson Green the Principal, students, faculty and staff have won this year's version of Survivor, outwitting, outlasting, and outplaying every obstacle thrown in their way!

Congratulations and finish strong! You've set the bar high for future Tigers!
