A teenage rapper has tragically passed away after he accidentally shot himself while flaunting his handgun in a video on social media. Raleigh Freeman III, known by his stage name Rylo Huncho, was discovered deceased at his residence in Suffolk, Virginia, on May 16.

Footage that went viral online depicted the 17-year-old brandishing the gun, seemingly deactivating the firearm's safety feature, aiming it at his own head, and then firing. The camera fell as the young artist was propelled out of the frame. While authorities have not officially identified Rylo, they have verified that a 17-year-old succumbed to an "accidental self-inflicted gunshot wound" to the head.

Initially, there were claims that the video was staged, with people wondering how the clip could have been uploaded if the rapper had already passed away. However, it seems the recording was made during a live stream, and subsequently, a GoFundMe page was set up by the devastated family of the teenager.

The GoFundMe page reveals that Rylo was the sole child of his mother, who did her utmost to provide for him, reports the Mirror . Twin Porter, a friend of Rylo's, seemed to acknowledge the sad news on Facebook, writing: "Long live rylooooooo."

Additionally, the late rapper's loved ones came together for a balloon release in his honor, with images of the event shared on social media.

Kara Dorsey, an educator familiar with the rapper and his kin, took to Facebook to promote a fundraising effort, urging her pupils to "honor the legacy of their friend" by persisting in "fulfilling their goals." On May 17, she posted: "Just yesterday my school family experienced a loss. While I didn't have the opportunity to meet this young man, I did meet his older cousin and a close friend today. I met them as they spent their lunch quietly walking the halls and asking staff members to share a GoFundMe to help the young man's mother lay her only child to rest.

"I tried to encourage them to honor the legacy of their friend and to continue being the thoughtful and polite young men they'd been in my only interaction with them...to push through to graduation day and continue fulfilling their goals. I told them that, while this won't ease their pain or bring him back, it will honor him and bring joy to their grieving family during this time."

A relative of the rapper penned on the fundraising page: "Hello, my aunt recently lost her 17-year-old son from a self-inflicted gun wound to the head. He was her only son! She was a single parent but took care of her son the best she could. Suicide/accidental was the cause of his death we are still trying to figure out why.

"But anything I mean anything can help her at this time of need. He was her only child she was also an only child it was always her and her son. Anything can help! Please keep my family in your prayers thank you so much."

The GoFundMe page, with a target of $15,000, has so far collected over $2,800 in donations.
