Sturgis track teams earn impressive wins at Otsego
OTSEGO — The Sturgis track and field teams won an important dual matchup at Otsego on Tuesday evening. The boys claimed an 80-52 win while the girls won running away, 92-40. It's believed to be the first time the girls have beaten Otsego in a dual matchup since joining the Wolverine Conference.

WATERVLIET — The Constantine boys picked up first place in the 51st annual Watervliet Invitational on Friday. The Falcons piled up 68.5 points to claim first. Bennett VandenBerg and Lucas Stears combined to take first in the distance with a combined distance of 261-4.5 feet. VandenBerg and Canon Manley teamed up to win the shot put with a combined distance of 88-7.5 feet. VandenBerg also broke his own school record in the discus on Wednesday at 170-9 feet.
Local golf squads busy with competitions
STURGIS — Local golf teams have had their seasons heating up recently with plenty of competition. On Monday, the Sturgis golfers competed in their third jamboree of the season. The Trojans shot a team score of 196 for the day. Head coach Nate Schwartz said his team saw some good things at the jamboree and the team is looking to continue to improve.
