Jennings provided the spark Duke (52-7) needed when she sent a 1-2 pitch from Krings over the wall in right field for her ninth home run of the season. Missouri (48-18) had the tying run on before falling short.
Here's what to know as Columbia Farmers Market's summer markets begin
Summer markets are back at the Columbia Farmers Market. This is a chance for vendors to sell twice weekly instead of once per week. The summer market schedule is 4-7 p.m. Wednesdays starting May 29 through Sept. 11. Roughly 30 vendors have signed up to provide a variety of fresh produce, meat, farm-fresh eggs, honey, cut flowers, plants, baked goods, along with food trucks and more, the market said in the announcement.

The Boone County Prosecutor's Office filed charges Tuesday in the deadly shooting outside White Castle in Columbia on May 17. Antione Lamont Armstrong of Columbia is charged with second-degree murder, armed criminal action, unlawful possession of a firearm and delivery of a controlled substance.

Pedaler's Jamboree kicks off day one of a 15-year tradition
Saturday morning kicked off one of Mid-Missouri's most anticipated events - the Pedaler's Jamboree. The Pedaler's Jamboree, or PedJam, is a bike and music festival hosted through Off Track Events every Memorial Day weekend for the last 15 years. It includes a scenic bike ride that starts in Columbia, tours the Katy Trail and ends Boonville with lots of stops for food and entertainment along the way.
