The 2nd Annual Brian Moon Classic takes place in Stuart today.

The slow pitch softball tournament is named after Brian Moon, who was a baseball player for Stuart-Menlo, and held a special love for the sport of baseball. Moon’s niece Nancy Moore tells Raccoon Valley Radio that she and other organizers hope to grow the tournament, and begin awarding annual scholarships to one baseball player and one softball player from West Central Valley.
