Authorities search for ‘armed and dangerous’ woman after Stratford armed robbery

STRATFORD, Conn. (WTNH) — The Stratford Police Department and Connecticut State Police are asking the public for assistance in locating a woman whom authorities described as armed and dangerous after her alleged role in an armed robbery last month in Stratford.

On March 19, Stratford police responded to the Stratford Motor Inn on Stratford Avenue aftera someone reported being robbed at gunpoint. The suspects were identified as two men and a woman who got away with cash and personal belongings, according to police.

The female suspect, identified by police as 37-year-old Brittany Rondeau of Marlborough, has not been caught. Authorities consider her to be armed and dangerous.

Rondeau’s felony arrest warrant includes charges of first-degree robbery, first-degree conspiracy to commit robbery, third-degree larceny and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.

Police said she is 5’4″ and weighs around 130 pounds. Authorities said she has three distinguishing tattoos: a sunflower on her upper right arm, a wing/face on her left upper arm and a sun-style design on the center of her lower back.

Rondeau is also wanted by state police for escaping custody.

Two men were arrested for their alleged involvement in the March robbery in Stratford: 59-year-old Jack Madison and 34-year-old Courtney Estaba. Both were charged with first-degree robbery, conspiracy to commit robbery, third-degree larceny, and third-degree conspiracy to commit larceny.
