Tuolumne County deputies arrest woman in Stockton months after murder
A woman who deputies have been searching for in connection with a murder in March was arrested on Thursday afternoon, according to the Tuolumne County Sheriff's Office. Sabrina Starkweather, 28, was one of three suspects in the death of 63-year-old Ben Lindsey, who lived in Columbia on Calle Quartz Drive. An autopsy revealed that blunt force trauma was the cause of his death. The sheriff's office said that Sabrina's father, Jon Starkweather, was a neighbor and tenant of Lindsey, and was allowing Sabrina and her boyfriend, 22-year-old Kasual McGuire-Meder to stay at his residence. McGuire-Meder and Jon Starkweather were both arrested on March 17 on charges related to murder, robbery and conspiracy to commit a crime.The sheriff's office said that McGuire-Meder had already been arrested for a previous crime in Washoe County and was booked at the Washoe County Jail.He is also charged with taking a vehicle without an owner's consent, and one witness in the area where Lindsey died said that his jeep had been missing for several days before he was killed.The sheriff's office said detectives received a call on Thursday from a community member about a possible sighting of Sabrina in the Stockton area. The sheriff's office worked with the Stockton Police Department to find her and take her into custody.Sabrina Starkweather has been booked at the Dambacher Detention Center on a felony warrant for charges of murder, conspiracy, robbery and vehicle theft and two outstanding felony warrants for failure to appear in court and violation of probation.
