STILLWATER, OKLA (KFOR) — A woman is speaking out after she claims a man she doesn’t know came up behind her and touched her inappropriately while walking in a popular area of Stillwater.

“I want him to get caught and I want him to realize that you can’t just touch anyone or anybody without their permission whatsoever,” said the victim who does not want to be identified.

That’s the message a young woman now has for the man she said inappropriately touched her near Boomer Lake in Stillwater on Wednesday evening.

    She called 911 shortly after.

The victim said a man was following close behind her on the trail for a long time.

“I realized about after I crossed the wooden bridge that he was still behind me and I thought it was kind of weird,” said the victim.

As she got closer to Airport Road she said the man ran up behind her.

“[He] grabbed me, touched me, and then I turned around, yelled at him, and he just looked shocked,” said the victim.

“He was last seen running into the woods northwest Boomer Lake. He was wearing a tie dye shirt, shorts, and flip flops,” said Lt. TJ Low with the Stillwater Police Department.

The victim said he also had a dirty blonde mullet with a mustache.

She also isn’t a stranger to the trail.

“I’ve never worried about anything like that happening with me out there. So it was just very shocking to say the least,” said the victim.

Now, she hopes this serves as a warning to others and hopes he’ll get caught.

“[Don’t] be afraid to turn and say why are you following me and make a scene. Because the second I did make a scene, he took off. He obviously wasn’t expecting me to say anything,” said the victim.

Investigators are now asking those who live in the area to check their doorbell or security videos for anything suspicious.

If you have any information, call Stillwater Police.

people always be up on their phones, but never think to snap a selfie catching the people behind them as soon as they start feeling a certain type of way. there are many ways to do so discreetly as well, without making it seem you are snapping a picture of them, but of yourself.
