Tulsa Moving Company Giving Away Thousands Of Dollars' Worth Of Furniture

A Tulsa-based moving company is giving away tens of thousands of dollars of free furniture to people who need it.

It’s all from a hotel in Stillwater that is going through a remodel, and they had to get rid of it.

Josh Keeler’s company, 2 Fellas Moving, just moved 35 rooms worth of furniture out of the Holiday Inn & Suites Stillwater – University West.

"They were going to trash all the furniture,” said Keeler. “Well, the furniture actually was good furniture. So, we asked if we could have it and they said absolutely. So what we did is we spent 15 hours loading the entire floor, which consisted of night stands, end tables, desks, queen-sized beds, king sized beds, chairs, pictures, lamps."

Keeler wants to find people who need furniture and give it to them free of charge.

"Flood victims, fire victims, tornado, anything that people could use," said Keeler.

All of the furniture is about 10 years old because the hotel remodels once a decade.

He said this furniture could be a game-changer for families in need.

"I knew that I didn't want to see those just sit at the curb and get destroyed,” said Keeler.

He’s thankful the Holiday Inn Express and Suites didn’t just throw away the furniture, but instead, let him use it to help others.

"It's not particleboard,” said Keeler. “This is very, very good quality heavy-duty furniture. I thank Holiday Inn for at least giving us the opportunity to take this off their hands, so that it will go to a good cause."

Several charities have already come by to Stillwater to pick up furniture, but Keeler said there’s still several thousand dollars’ worth of stuff just waiting for a home.

"We have items here that we want you guys to have,” said Keeler. “Please just call us, come get them. We'll help you load them, maybe we can even help you deliver them."
