An Oklahoma student achieved a rare accomplishment after she earned a perfect score of 36 on the ACT test.
A junior at Stillwater High School, Shelley Lin was shocked when she saw her score.
"We went to my room to check my score and I almost fell over because I was like 'No way,'" Lin said.
Lin says she has been busy with her AP classes and extracurriculars, but that she did read an ACT Prep Guide and took a few practice tests to prepare.
Lin shared a few tips for other high school students who have to take the test.
"My main tip is to find a strategy that will help you take on the test. It's very fast-paced," Lin said. "You don't want to be stuck on a question for too long. Don't keep spinning your wheels, you have to look at it later. Also, guessing, don't be afraid to guess."
Less than half of 1% of all students who take the ACT earn a perfect score.
Lin says she wants to be a doctor, and her dream school is Washington University in St. Louis.
