STILLWATER (KOKH) - Stillwater Animal Welfare says they are operating beyond maximum capacity.

The shelter says they have 26 total dog kennels but currently are home to over 40 dogs.

Now, they are hosting adoption events around Stillwater to find loving homes for these pups.

They say they are concerned with losing their 'no-kill facility' status due to low adoption rates of their population of mostly larger dogs.

Upcoming adoption events include March 26th at the Renaissance of Stillwater, March 28th at Bluepeak, and a low cost vaccine clinic on April 30th.
