MINNEAPOLIS — Wayzata closed the gap slightly, but the Stillwater synchronized swimming team placed first in 7 of the 12 divisions to capture its third straight state championship on Friday, May 26 at the University of Minnesota’s Jean K. Freeman Aquatic Center.

The Ponies accumulated 146 points to outdistance the runner-up Trojans (120) and conference and section rival Forest Lake (64), which placed third for the third year in a row.
