Bladder stones result from the development and accumulation of minerals within an animal’s bladder. Originating as microscopic crystals bladder stones develop over time as crystals accumulate and combine. As you can imagine having crystals or stones residing in your bladder would be very uncomfortable and can cause a range of cynical signs including blood in the urine, straining to urinate, pain when urinating and malodorous urine, just to name a few!
