STEVENS POINT – Scooter’s Coffee will open next month in Stevens Point.
Two managers told the Stevens Point Journal the company plans to open Oct. 2 at 5707 U.S. 10 E.
Plans for the 670-square-foot drive-thru coffee shop have been in the works since the city approved its site plan in February. Construction began in the spring at the property near U.S. Bank.
In July, a Scooter’s Coffee spokesperson told the Journal Stevens Point was a good fit for the coffee shop chain because of the city’s steady and sustainable growth. Driving through, the community felt alive and vibrant and willing to embrace new businesses, the spokesperson said.
Scooter’s Coffee first opened in 1998 in Nebraska, aiming to provide fast service for customers to be able to “scoot in and scoot out,” according to the company’s website. Now, there are about 700 locations across the country.
