Cappaert set a new Stephenson High School record in the 800-meter run with a first-place time of 2:26.4, breaking the old mark set by Erin Koller in 1992.

Cappaert’s first-place finish in the 800m was one of seven top-three finishes for the Lady Eagles, who finished fourth with a team score of 88 points.
