Potosi’s Landon Sprous is Athlete of the Week
(POTOSI) Landon Sprous of the Potosi Track and Field team is this week’s Applebee’s of Farmington Athlete of the Week. Sprous broke the school record in the 300m hurdles with a time of 40.19 which gave him the win for the event at the Union Meet last week. Sprous is currently ranked 2nd in all of Class 4 in the 300m Hurdles. Sprous shares what kind of preparation goes into a race.
Sullivan Shows Progress Mid-Season At Licklider Relays
Track and Field competed with top schools at the Licklider Relays on Saturday, Apr. 13, at Jefferson City High School. Co-head coach Terry Wood is proud of the progress and development he sees in Sullivan midway through their season. “We’re rounding a corner. There’re a lot of pieces to the puzzle that need to find a place, so to speak, but the kids are developing really well,” he explained. “Karlee [Head] is finding a confidence of her own. Mariah [Denney] is seeing some impressive results. My seniors are finding their leadership styles and pushing the work ethic higher. I’m very excited for our prospects as we head into our postseason.”
