Teen suspect sought in Staten Island fitting room gropings: NYPD

NEW YORK (1010 WINS) -- Police are looking to identify a teen suspect wanted in connection to a pair of gropings that occurred in fitting rooms inside a Staten Island mall, authorities said.

The first incident reportedly occurred at approximately 6:15 p.m. on Monday, February 20, while an 18-year-old woman was working in a store at the Staten Island Mall located at of 2655 Richmond Ave. in New Springville, officials said.

According to officials, the woman escorted the suspect into a fitting room and he grabbed her buttocks.

The suspect then fled the store in an unknown direction.

The second incident occurred just before 5 p.m. on Friday, March 10 when a 24-year-old woman was working inside a store at the same location, police said.

The victim escorted the suspect into a fitting room and he pressed his groin against her buttocks, the NYPD said.

The suspect then purchased an item and exited the store in an unknown direction, cops said.

There were no reported injuries as a result of either incident.

The suspect is believed to be approximately 17-years-old and was last seen wearing black skullcap, black jacket, green shirt, and white sneakers.
