Greene County fell to 0-3 in Heart of Iowa Activities Conference baseball with a 10-0 loss on Wednesday night to West Marshall in State Center via the 10-run rule in 4-1/2 innings. Overall, Coach Kyle Stalder’s Rams are 1-4 while the Trojans improved to 4-0 in the conference and 9-2 overall.

Noah Hinote pithed the first 4-2/3 innings and he was relieved by Gavyn Winters. Winters, Hinote, and Isaac Carman, all sophomores,, each had a single to account for the three Greene County hits. Nine of the 10 WM runs were earned with nine charged to Hinote and one to Winters. The Trojans had 11 hits in addition to drawing four walks and being hit twice with pitches.

Greene County is off tonight and will play Perry on Friday night at Walt Anderson Field in Rippey at 7:30 p.m. The play-by-play is scheduled for 1310 AM KDLS and streamed on www.raccoonvalleyradio.com.
