Baseball Recap: Luray's loss ends three-game winning streak at home
If Luray was feeling good off their 11-1 takedown of Page County last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Luray Bulldogs fell just short of the Central Woodstock Falcons by a score of 4-2 on Tuesday. Luray was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Central Woodstock apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April.

Wayne Brady to depart 'The Wiz' on Broadway; Alan Mingo Jr. to join
Mingo, who is currently part of the musical's ensemble and played Brady's part on the national tour, will step into the title role full-time beginning in June. Alan Mingo Jr. will step into the title role of The Wiz on Broadway this summer, replacing original cast member Wayne Brady in the title role. Brady plays his final performance in the show at the Marquis Theatre on June 12.
Spotswood baseball, softball defeats Broadway
PENN LAIRD, Va. (WHSV) - Trailing 5-4 in the bottom of the seventh inning, Spotswood’s baseball team rallied for two runs to defeat Broadway 6-5 on Thursday night. With runners at second and third base, Cam Blank singled up the middle to bring in both runs and help Spotswood to a comeback win. The Blazers (15-4, 8-3) now sit a half game behind Broadway (15-4, 9-3) in the Valley District standings.
