Stanford lands 2024 tight end Aiden Black

Stanford is picking up momentum on the recruiting trail

Now that Troy Taylor has had time to get comfortable at Stanford, the Cardinal are picking up some major steam on the recruiting trail.

The class of 2023 saw Taylor have just a few days to try and retain everyone, while also make a couple additions after his deep FCS playoff run with Sacramento State. With a full staff and a full year to address the class of 2024, it is evident that Taylor's recruiting efforts will not go unnoticed by the recruits.

After hosting what appeared to be a successful official visit weekend this past weekend, Stanford landed three commits on Monday. It started with Baylor linebacker commit Brandon Booker flipping his commitment, and continued with three-star tight end Aiden Black announcing his commitment.

The Pennsylvania native ranks as the No. 1079 recruit in the country, and held offers from programs such as Boston College, Duke, Maryland, and Virginia Tech among others.

This past season at Delaware Valley, Black had 28 catches for over 400 yards, while adding four touchdowns. Taylor's offense heavily relies on tight ends, and the Cardinal are already making moves to bolster their tight end room of the future which is likely set to lose Benjamin Yurosek to the NFL Draft after this next season.

Stanford's class now ranks as the No. 43 class in the country, and based on more social media buzz from coaches they are far from being done this week in the commitment department.
